Texan Delights and a Quirky Breakfast

Rising to a Texan sunrise at a cozy motel, our sights were set on the road ahead, winding homeward. Fueled by the motel’s hearty breakfast spread, one delectable item stood out – waffles, their shapes mirroring the contours of the state itself. I thought it was awesome! I had to try it! Well you know it’s the same, but how could you not resist?! (I’ll probably buy a fun waffle maker like this, but not Texas shaped, haha!)

Descending into the Subterranean Realm

Person and inside of Carlsbad Caverns National Park, New Mexico, USA (1)

Now after how many days of driving that we’ve finally made it out of Texas (If you know, you know. Haha), and now in New Mexico my cousin decided we visit Carlsbad Caverns National Park. We arrived there in the afternoon and it was really hot so I didn’t bring a jacket so upon descending the elevator to inside the cave, and oh boy! Wasn’t prepared that it was chilly down there. The cavern’s grandeur made me feel both tiny and captivated simultaneously.

Marvelous Natural Structures

I was in awe of the natural architecture. No words can describe how I felt. Stalactites hung like chandeliers, suspended in frozen elegance, while stalagmites emerged from the earth like ancient sentinels. The harmonious interplay of light and shadow brought these natural sculptures to life, each telling a tale etched in calcium and time. Words seemed inadequate to capture the symphony of creation that echoed within those cavernous walls.

Discovering Enchanting Depths: Cave Pools and Beyond

Amidst the enchanting labyrinth of Carlsbad Caverns, another hidden marvel awaits – the mesmerizing cave pools. As I wandered deeper into the subterranean expanse, my senses were captivated by these ethereal pools, shimmering like liquid crystal. These subterranean oases, nurtured by time and geological wonders, offered a serene awe-inspiring formation. The crystal-clear waters seemed to mirror the intricate beauty of the cave’s architecture.
